Howdy marshmallows, yes i know it's Monday, but if your in school still, I'm sure you don't have too long left now? Summer is nearly here for all of you, don't panic! As it's been very warm & humid this past week or so, I've been drinking more smoothies, but healthy ones that i make myself. So i decided that today's blog post will be me sharing one of my smoothie recipies/DIY.
Okay, so i used my smoothie maker to make my smoothie, but you can also use a normal blender & siv out the lumps or fruit.
So in my smoothie i used:
*250mlSoya Milk (unsweetened)
*250mlSoya Milk (unsweetened)
*100mlFreshly squeezed orange juice
*One Banana (I previously froze)
*x5/6 Cherry's (remove the stone)
*x2 Fresh Apricots

*x2 Fresh Apricots
*One whole Peach *Fresh Pineapple
(You can use frozen or tinned if you don't have fresh, but fresh is nicer & more refreshing)

All the measurements are rough guesses to suit me, you can put as much or as little as you need/want in you smoothie, it's entirely up to you! Also, if you don't like something I've included in mine, then replace is with something else, this is just one of the smoothies i like to make, it's refreshing!
To make a smoothie, you can use anything that you want to use..I often use fruit & sometimes vegetables too.
Step 1: Add in the liquid, soya milk (Normal milk if you want to) & the juice (Orange)
Step 2 & 3: I then add in my frozen fruit! (Banana) This because it takes longer to blend because it's frozen!
Step 4 & 5: I now add my fresh fruit...i started with cherrys & then added the rest! Then, normally i will blend/smooth between adding in the fruit, giving the frozen fruit time to blend down, ready to be drank.
This doesn't take long to make, it just takes a lot to wash up, haha!I usually get 3 glasses full or smoothie, but if you add in more liquid then you will get more. (Also depends on how wide your blender/smoothie maker is).
Then, you will end up with...THIS!!
I didn't skin any of the fruit (Appart from the pineapple) therefore i ended up with bits of the skin on the cherrys in my smoothie, i recommend pealing them if you don't want that! I'm not fussy, i like fruit, & i really enjoyed my smoothie today!! The soya milk works a lot better than normal milk!
I hope you enjoyed today's blog post and let me know if you make any smoothies! Tweet me them, or share them on instagram and tag me!
Peace, love & remember...?
